TalkSwitch Click-to-Dial Software


TalkSwitch Click-to-Dial software enables TalkSwitch users to make calls using their Microsoft Outlook Contacts list.
This software is compatible with TalkSwitch phone systems running TalkSwitch version 6.50 or higher software.

INSTALLING TALKSWITCH CLICK TO DIAL SOFTWARE


Step 1: Download TalkSwitch Click to Dial software (login required).

Step 2: Run the installer TS_Click_to_Dial_100009.exe program.

Step 3: A TalkSwitch Click-to-Dial Setup window will appear. Click the Next button to proceed.



Step 4: A window will appear to collect essential information to enable Outlook to use the TalkSwitch phone system.



The information required for the 'System IP Address', 'User Extension #' and 'Password' fields is displayed in the TalkSwitch Management software Tools > Click-to-Dial page.



If you are not running TalkSwitch Management software, contact your system Administrator to obtain this information.

Step 5: A window will appear allowing you to specify the installation location on your PC. The default location is recommended. Click the Install button to proceed.



Step 6: When the installation has completed successfully, click the OK button.



A final window will confirm installation completion. Click the Finish button.




CONFIGURING MICROSOFT OUTLOOK FOR CLICK TO DIAL


Step 1: Open Microsoft Outlook and click on Contacts.

Step 2: Click on Actions > Call Contact > New Call. A New Call window will appear.



If your extension uses Direct Line Access, proceed directly to Step 6.

Step 3: Click on Dialing Properties. A Phone and Modem Options window will appear. Select the Location to configure, then click Edit.



Step 4: An Edit Location window will appear. Enter the Area Code for this location. If desired, enter a unique Location name.



Enter the hunt group required for this extension in the "To access an outside line for local calls, dial" field. Enter the same hunt group in the "To access an outside line for long distance calls, dial" field.

Step 5: Select the Area Code Rules tab. Click New. A New Area Code Rule window will appear.

Enter the area code. In the Rules section check the box Include the area code. Click OK.



Click OK to close the Edit Location window. Click OK to close the Phone and Modem Options window.

Step 6: From the New Call window, click Dialing Options.



Step 7: A Dialing Options window will appear. Select TalkSwitch Click to Dial v0.2.10 Release in the Connect using line menu.



Close the New Call window. Configuration for click-to-dial is complete.


CALLING FROM OUTLOOK


To place a call to a number in your Outlook Contact list, right-click on the Contact and select Call Contact. In the New Call window use the menu to select the number to call, then click Start Call.

Recommended PC System Specifications


Ensure that this software is installed on a PC meeting the system specifications listed below.
  • Fully updated Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007 or 2010.
  • 0.5MB Hard Disk Space
There is currently no support for Mac OS or Linux operating systems.
There is no support for operating systems no longer supported by Microsoft, such as Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows 95.
