External IP Extensions

Plug your TalkSwitch extension in anywhere.

Teleworkers? Staff members who plan to work from home tomorrow? Want to keep a phone at home connected to your business at all times? TalkSwitch external IP extensions are the answer.

External IP extensions work just like local IP extensions, so there's no better way to integrate offsite phones with your main office phone. Three-digit dialing, intercom calling and membership in ring groups and call cascades? You bet. You can even get line appearance for the office system on your external IP extension if you're using a TalkSwitch TS-9133i or TS-480i phone.

Your IP extension just plugs in to your existing computer network with standard cables, too, so there's no need for additional equipment or gateways. And if you're using TalkSwitch IP phones, configuration is a snap.

Requires IP telephone, a VoIP-enabled TalkSwitch system running configuration software 5.0 or greater and broadband Internet connection at both locations. Calls between external IP extensions and the main TalkSwitch system require an available VoIP trunk on the system.
