TalkSwitch named to the Pulver 100

TalkSwitch makes Voice over IP a reality for small and multi-location businesses, earns place on prestigious industry list

OTTAWA, ON and MELVILLE, NY - September 7th, 2005 – TalkSwitch® today announced that it has been named to the 2005 Pulver 100 – the VoIP industry’s premiere listing of privately held growth companies that represent the future of the communications ecosystem.  TalkSwitch has been named to the list due to its ability to put cutting edge VoIP technology affordably in the hands of small and multi-location businesses.

Since its inception, TalkSwitch has been dedicated to addressing the specific needs of the small business market. It was the first to introduce a telephone system designed to be completely installed, configured and managed by the end user, and the first to allow system capacity to be expanded over the local area network. This pioneering approach has since set the standard for the design of telephone systems for the small business market. TalkSwitch has recently announced a number of interoperability partnerships with other leading providers and was a founding member of the SIPconnect Interface Specification group.

“The Pulver 100 is the VoIP industry’s first and foremost award listing, and it continues to grow in significance because companies like TalkSwitch continue to spread IP communications through innovative products like the TalkSwitch 48-CVA,” said Jeff Pulver, Founder and Chairman of pulvermedia. “We’re proud to name TalkSwitch to this year’s Pulver 100.”

“It is an honor to be a part of the Pulver 100,” said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch. “It is a reflection of the hard work we’ve put into developing a product that has made an impact in the small business market. We’re dedicated to continuing along this path and look forward to being a part of this prestigious listing for many years to come.”

TalkSwitch telephone systems are ideal for small and multi-location businesses with up to 32 telephone users per office. Designed to be installed, configured and managed by the end user, each TalkSwitch comes loaded with a host of features including multi-level auto attendants, call cascade options, individual voicemail and much more. The TalkSwitch is available with traditional telephone connections, or with both traditional and Voice over IP (VoIP) connections. TalkSwitch systems are networkable, and all units can be upgraded to include VoIP. The company will be attending September’s Fall VON 2005 show in Boston, and will be exhibiting in booth #1234.

About the Pulver 100:
Originally introduced in 2002, the Pulver 100 features private companies in the communications sector that have substantial real-world deployments and enjoy significant growth rates. The value chain characterized by Pulver 100 differs from the vertically integrated telecom model of the last century, focusing more on a networking-industry model that espouses open interfaces, connectivity decoupled from services, and software decoupled from hardware.
