Need help setting up your music-on-hold?

Follow these steps to quickly install your new music-on-hold tunes:
  1. Download the music-on-hold tune that you prefer (http://www.talkswitch.com/musiconhold/) and save it on your computer.

  2. Open your TalkSwitch configuration software and expand System Information > On-Hold/Ringback.

  3. In the On-Hold Settings area, select Play music from file loaded on TalkSwitch and click the Load wav file button.  A window will appear asking you to confirm that you are uploading a .wav file. Click Yes to continue.

  4. A new window called Load Audio File will appear. Browse and select the music-on-hold .wav file that you want to upload, and click Open.

Please note: The TalkSwitch music-on-hold tunes are specifically formatted to work with your TalkSwitch phone system. If you have downloaded a music file from another location than the TalkSwitch website, you must ensure that the file is saved in the following format: 8 kHz, 8 bit, Mono, u-Law .wav file. You can convert .mp3 and other file formats to .wav with a tool like the Audio Converter and Ripper from www.audioi.com.

  5. In the Transfer Settings area, select the sound to play while the caller is being transferred.  You can select Music, or Ringback.

  6. In the menu commands, choose File > Save to TalkSwitch.

  7. Congratulations, your new tunes are uploaded!  Now you can test the volume by placing a test call and going on hold.

  8. If you wish to adjust the volume, go to the Playback volume for music file list in the On-Hold Settings area.  Select the appropriate volume using the drop down arrow.

  9. In order for your volume changes to take effect, you must once again choose File > Save to TalkSwitch.
